ARRIVAL & PRE ASCENT

7 days in advance of your ascent our Program Managers will touch base to provide you with an update on expected route conditions, avalanche hazards (if applicable), and expected weather for your ascent day. Your Guide(s) will be in touch 24-48hrs in advance of departure at a minimum, to further discuss final logistics and your expectations, for your day with us.

YOUR DAY

Our Program Managers and your Guide will discuss with you in advance an appropriate meeting point, relative to the location of your accommodation here in the Bow Valley, or be considerate of your intended travel plans for arriving in Banff early on our ascent day.

A Private day is going to be tailored to your desires and objectives. Below is an example of what your day might look like.

Day Starts:

  • 0800hrs - You will meet your guide at the pre-planned meeting point, Gear Up is the most popular place, where we can pick up Mountaineering boots & sign waivers. Once this is completed the guide can run through the briefing of the day.  A quick double-check that the items listed under the equipment tab, haven't been forgotten. Then a short transit to the car park of the chosen location.

  • 0820hrs -   Often a short walk is required at a few of the climbing locations, these can vary from 10-30 minutes walking time depending on the location of choice or objective.

  • 0840hrs - 1600hrs - With the chosen objectives or outcome pre-planned, the day will be for the whole day, or until the chosen objective or learning outcomes have been completed.
