Ha Ling Peak - NE Face - 12 Pitches / 5.6

On this guided ascent, our goal is one of the most prominent peaks visible from the Canmore townsite. Ha Ling Peak via the NE Face is a must do for rock climbers visiting the Canmore area.

The NE Face is attainable for most of our guests, and for those with a modest amount of previous climbing experience. At a grade of 5.6, large portions of the route are climbed easily with short difficult sections to 5.6 interspersed throughout. The route's position is one of the biggest attractions of the route, with views both east and west down the Bow Valley and our hometown of Canmore consistently in view right below your feet. Approach to the peak requires appox. 1 hour, while the 12 pitches of climbing en route usually see us on the summit just after lunch. After gaining the summit, we descend walking off down the summer hiking trail and return to the trailhead mid afternoon.

Meet your Guide early, usually between 5:30am - 6:30am depending on the day of the week and likelyhood of other parties en route.
