Equipment

  • Footwear
    • We do not use rock shoes on this objective. Leaving them at home keeps your pack light, and the terrain is not so difficult that they are required.
    • Option A (Conditions Dependant) - Approach Shoes that are as good at climbing as they are walking. We suggest the La Sportiva Gandalf. They are exceptional climbing shoes and have outstanding all day walking comfort. Built for Eisienhower Tower.
    • Option B (Required when snow present en route) - The La Sportiva Trango S or Trango Alp or Trango Cube is what we suggest. Be wary of other boots in the Trango Lineup as some are very stiff and designed more for snow and ice travel and winter mixed climbing. You'll want something that's got enoough flex in the sole it walks well.
  • Daypack - Simple, functional, no frills approx 30-40L.
  • Harness (we will provide at no cost at your request)
