DreamTrip - Lofoten Islands Ski & Sail

An incredibly unique way to explore the Lofoten Islands of Northern Norway, one of the most spectacular coastal regions in the arctic, and one of our Signature Trips. Loften is the jump off point for this amazing Ski & Sail Trip, situated at approximately 68˚ North lattitude, skiers and riders will travel with us as we sail amongst the fjords of Northern Norway giving access to some of the best ski descents available in the arctic region.

The winter 2019 DreamTrip provides 7 days on the water, exploring on skis this incredible range. Imagine as you depart our private 70ft schooner in the pale morning light, ferrying in toward land with 7 of your team. As the zodiac turns back to sea, we begin our climb towards summits and high alpine ridges finishing with wide open descents high above the Norwegian Sea, cruising back down to the fjords, our waiting ferry, dinner, drinks and travel aboard the SkyDancer toward the next fjord to ski and explore.

The S/Y SkyDancer - Our Home on the Water.

S/Y SkyDancer of Longyearbyen is a 73 ft steel and alu schooner built in Denmark and completed in 2007. She is fully equipped for sailing in high latitude waters. She is ice classed and ready to go anywhere our group is keen to explore along the Norwegian coast line. A schooner rig and a big diesel engine of 280 bhp with 5000L of diesel gives her an impressive range and amble cruising speed.

The S/Y SkyDancer sleeps 10 of our group total (8 Guests & 2 Guides), she has 3 double bunk cabins and one 4 bunk forward cabin. There are two comfortable saloons where our Guests can relax, 1 above deck and 1 below. Central heating aboard ensures we are able to adequately dry damp ski gear each night and also our Guests comfort during more inclement sailing weather. The central heating also provides unlimited hot water to supply the shower aboard for our Guests, a welcome creature comfort, while large generator ensure plenty of power to recharge laptops, camera's and phones should you require.
