The Chamonix to Zermatt is well known as the most classic of all the Haute Routes of the Alps. Our traverse packages will start with a warm up day ski touring or splitboarding the Vallee Blanche high above Chamonix. Our traverse starts the following day from the townsite of Argentiere; taking the earliest lift we can, we ascend to the top of the Grand Montets ski slopes and from there descend to the Argentiere Hut for our first night en route.

Facebook Caption Contest - $150.00 Cloud Nine Bucks Giveaway

Here it is - the much anticipated results of a completely impromptu Photo Caption Contest for an image posted on our Facebook page 2 days ago. Turned out to be totally hilarious and a battle between 2 of our Facebook page followers for a $150.00 in Cloud Nine Bucks. The photo was taken on a recent trip with an uber fun crew of folks gathered at the Bow Hut to celebrate Lauren and Luke, the two mountaineers in the photo, getting hitched later this summer. The steampunk mountaineer is Russell Shanahan - Lauren's brother.

Administration Staff / Program Coordinator Position Available.

Cloud Nine Guides has a part time position available for a Program Coordinator / Administrative Support role this summer. The job would complement another line of work in the Bow Valley well as the hours can be flexible. Applicants should have some background or understanding of the professional guiding industry, or spent time climbing or backcountry skiing themselves. We will give preference to detail oriented, hard working individuals who are self-motivated and have spent at least some time in the venues in which we guide, and who are based in the Bow Valley.
