  • Heavy Gloves (primarily for warmth when stopped)
  • Lightweight, Dexterous, Climbing Specific Golves (2 Pairs is ideal)
  • Lightweight & Warm Down or Synthetic Insulated Parka

Note on Sleeping Bags:


Bringing a Sleeping Bag to Abbott Pass is optional. There are a number of woolen blankets that are available for use and provide more than enough warmth even on a cool summers evening to keep you warm.

It's not often we get to lighten our packs by leaving such a key item at home - we encourage you to take advantage of the weight savings for the trip up and down from the hut.
